Ducks After Dark, part of the Student Activities Board, is a program that hosts bi-weekly movie nights for the UO student body. Entering the Winter term, I collaborated on a rebrand of print, social media, and digital graphics material.
Working directly with Ducks After Dark's marketing manager, they led the vision: Photo cutouts or stills from films with bold text, utilizing texture and a vibrant primary color-over secondary to the yellow-black identity of DAD.
Going through a round of ideas and variations, we settled on a bold-titled identity with cutouts colored by the primaries.
An elaborate design system was created: poster layout divided by thirds to group information; bold and expanded movie text and art; minimized and consistent header/footer combo to frame the composition; modularity for multiple formats (IG, Digital Display, Handbill).
